On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,517. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.506 billion and the number of lots traded 8,111. Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 1.943 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.154 billion, gold PKR 1.048 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 707.401 million, DJ PKR 322.447 million, silver PKR 102.391 million, copper PKR 81.484 million, platinum PKR 61.555 million, SP500 PKR 53.449 million, natural gas PKR 26.005 million and Brent crude oil PKR 4.936 million. In agriculture commodities 16,565 lots of red chilli valued PKR 4.721 million were traded.
